Monday, May 30, 2005

Harrahs New OrleansWalter Chambers, a Louisiana State University Alum has won the WSOP 'Bayou Poker Chalenge' Circuit event at Harrah's New Orleans, taking home $787,340 for his trouble.

The final table started off like this.

SEAT 1: Walter Chambers Chip Count – 576,000
SEAT 2: Nick ‘Chairman’ Mao Chip Count – 522,000
SEAT 3: Harry Cullen, Jr. Chip Count – 202,000
SEAT 4: Antonio ‘The Magician’ Esfandiari Chip Count – 320,000
SEAT 5: Imre Leibold Chip Count – 169,500
SEAT 6: Marlon Labbe Chip Count – 163,000
SEAT 7: Cyril ‘Sid’ Gittens Chip Count – 338,500
SEAT 8: Corey A. Bierria Chip Count – 191,000
SEAT 9: Mark Cole Chip Count – 107,000

Our favorite Rock (or is he a ring?) Antonio the Magician was at one time the chip leader, but he accidentally made all his chips dissappear.

And Don ‘Final Table’ Mullis for once did not make the cut! Mullis, went out on the final table bubble, finishing 10th, after making it to the final table an astounding 7 of 11 times at WSOP Circuit events dating back to Lake Tahoe last month.

C'mon Don. Lift your game mate. We want to see you on the final table of the WSOP at the Rio to make up for this one that you missed...
