Hello From Montreal!
We arrived in Montreal safely after 30+ hours of travelling. There was a few sit & go tournaments played on the plane, but I think we played too low stakes as there were all-ins every 2nd hand! On the way back we'll up the buy in and make it a little more interesting. The GIGSE conference has been good. There's plenty of new poker games and ideas to check out. And everyone here loves the new Poker.com software!
Paul & Chris got to check out the F1 Grand Prix, but were dissappointed when F1 host Casino Montreal didn't have a poker room! For such a great city, their casino is a little boring...But the Steak is great, nearly as good as Australian steak even. It was so good that Paul even had a go at breaking the biggest steak ever eaten record in Reuben's restaurant on St Catherine. He beat it..... and that steak was huge..... But so is Paul I guess!
Their next adventure was playing in the GIGSE poker tournament. Paul busted out 3rd with a bad beat. His AK turning into AAKK on the flop, but being beaten by a 10 on the river to give his opponents KQ a broadway straight. Chris lasted a while longer, but ended up out of the money also when his suited KJ on the big blind was crazily called by another short stack with 95 who hit his 9 on the turn to bust out Poker.com's last chance of glory.
I hear the Poker.com freerolls ae going well with over 1200 entrants in some. That's great news, I'm glad to see everyone is enjoying the free money giveaway.
Anyway - I have to run. Off to a seminar on new Mobile phone Poker games and some other interesting developments in the Poker world. Will try to post again soon.
