The new Poker.com R0cks!

Tuesday, July 19, 2005

I just saw the final version of the new Poker.com lobby. Oh my is it special.

We have some great ideas for new features, but it just seems to take soooo long to get them developed and tested. We're hopefully doing a major software update later this week and it will make a big difference to the client's feel & usability.

We're not going to stop until we have the hands down best poker software around, and this update will be a nice big step towards that.

And for all of you US based poker fans ESPN is starting the 2005 WSOP coverage tonight! Check yor local TV guides.

  • Aww, come on kris, you can't just tell us about it, we want screenshots. ;)

  • You'll just have to wait......

  • Ohh yes, I see it now!
Very nice, I really like it. And the "My games" section rocks!!!

It is very useful to see the games in one place. The only missing thing to me is the clock being visible when I am at the tournament details page. (I am not from the EST timezone, and the clock was visible in the older version in the upper left corner better.) But keep up the good work, it is very nice indeed. I know now why I love Poker.com. :)))

  • I disagree...I prefer the older "poker.com" layout. For a new user, there is NOTHING that shows him/her how to exit the poker.com program. Unless they are really computer savvy, they wouldn't know to select the "x" at the upper RHS to close the program. Since there are two "x"s to choose from, they could very easily select the wrong one.

Visually, change for change's sake is not necessarily good.

  • You have to be kidding me.... You are complaining because there is not a big EXIT button?

The 'x' in the top right of the app to close the program is a windows OS standard.Or you could right click and select close on the task bar, or you could click 'Alt F4'. My 2 year old girl knows how to close a program!

  • Yeah.... It is pretty easy to close. There are plenty of ways to do it. They make it quite easy compared to some poker software I have seen.
