Rehne Pedersen wins at the Bellagio!
Rehne Pedersen has won the 2005 WPT Bellagio Five Diamond World Poker Classic, winning $2,078,185, a gold-and-diamond bracelet, and a $25,500 entry into the season-ending WPT World Championship. Patrik Antonius finished second, earning $1,046,470.On the final hand, Rehne Pedersen had the button, and Antonius was forced all in for the big blind. The players flip over their cards, and Antonius had Ks-7s against Pedersen's pocket eights (8c-8s).
The flop comes 9d-6c-3s, and Pedersen retains the lead. The turn card is the 3c, and Antonius needs to catch a king to survive. The river card is the Jc, and Patrik Antonius is eliminated in second place, earning $1,046,470.
