Goerhing wins LA Poker CLassic
Alan Goehring has won $2,391,550 and a seat at the WPT Championship for winning the LA Poker Classic WPT event at the Commerce Casino. The final 6 consisted of Per Ummer, Steven Simmons, Daniel Quach, Michael Wood, JC Tran and Goehring who was short stacked in the early stages of TV table play.
The last hand eventuated when Daniel Quach moved all in pre flop and Alan Goehring called. Quach showed Ad-Jh. Goehring had Kd-8h, needing help. The flop came Qc-Jd-9c. The turn is the Kh and Goehring took the lead. The river card was the 7c and Alan Goehring won the hand. There was some confusion at the end of the hand as to whether Goehring had Quach covered. When the chips were finally counted, Alan Goehring barely had Quach covered and was declared the winner of the tournament.
Congratulations Alan!
