Poker.com $20,000 Weekly Freeroll

For as long as I can remember the poor pocket Jack’s have been subject to much criticism and are always getting a bad reputation.

Well, after watching today’s final table in the $20,000 weekly freeroll… Pocket JJ’s can hold up.

After chip leader Octagon had established his sizable stack, thanks to his K7c hitting a King on the flop to beat Sycotik’s pocket 10’s, the JJ would deliver the knock out blow.

After becoming short stacked Sycotik was forced to fold his blinds to Octagon as he played the role of chip bully. With the blinds threatening the end of the game, Sycotik went all-in with A5d and the straight draw. When the river revealed a 6 and Sycotik had missed his wheel, the pocket J’s did what I don’t usually see…. They held up!

Today’s $10k was an absolute poker marathon lasting just under 6 hours until the eventual winner could be crowned. With only 110 entrants, everyone wanted to get their hands on the $3k for first place.
