Another Sunday At Poker.com
Well don't miss your chance this week and who know's, next week I might be writing about your recent wins and instant bankroll.
The $20,000 Weekly Freeroll
Today's freeroll boasted a field of 918 players who were all eager to take home their piece of the prize pool and with $4,000 for first place, I wish I could spend a lazy Sunday afternoon earning that kind of cash from the comfort of my own home.
Firtly, congratulations must go to Dogwitbone who, after being the shortest chip stack among the final five, managed to fight back and take out first place.
The action at the final table really started to get interesting when out of the final 5 players the two chip leaders went head to head for what potentially could be the deciding hand of the tournament.
Bullybil pocket 9's
Kingston pocket 8's
The Board: 4 3 2 2 with the river landing a 9 and handing Bullybil the hand and a clear chip advantage.
The final 3 players shaped up like this:
Bullybil - 423k
Dogwitbone - 245k
MSPChris - 170k
Next deciding hand was contested between:
Bullybil - AQs
MSPChris - QKh
The Board: Jh Js 10c 8c 10d
Now with only two players remaining and one clear chip leader, the tournament could have been over the very next hand.
However, this wasn't the case and Dogwitbone managed to double up with his King High Flush.
The next few hands were just blinds switching back and forth until the all-in decider arrived...
Bullybil - J5
Dogwitbone - A10
The Board: 10 9 8 4 6
Sunday's $10,000 Guaranteed
With only 100 players taking up the challenge and first place paying out $3k, this is definately a tournament I'd be registering for... If it didn't mean losing my job.
Here are the chip counts and tournament deciding hands for the final 3 players.
RoadWaffle - 121k
Lawrns - 37k
SchteeKen - 48k
The first hand played among the final 3 turned was:
Lawrns - A8
Roadwaffle - Q9
The Board: 8 A 3 6 9, pairing Lawrns Ace and doubling him up.
Unfortunately for Lawrns the hand that had just enabled him to double up would end his tournament:
Lawrns - A4
RoadWaffle - A8
The Board: 2c 6s 10c 9h Kd
Now with only 2 players remaining the last 5.5hrs came down to this one hand:
Roadwaffle - Kh 10d
SchteeKen - 7c 7h
The Board: 5h 5c 8h Ad 2d
Giving SchteeKen the win and a $3,000 addition to his bankroll.
Also, I'd like to give a special commendation to Bullybil who not only came 2nd in today's weekly $20,000 freeroll, but placed in the money for the $10,000 Guaranteed as well.
Great effort Bullybil.
Now that's what I call smart, doubling your chance to win huge cash prizes in half the time, simply by playing both Poker.com's big MTT touraments on the same day.
