Thoughts for Woodman's Wife

Wednesday, March 01, 2006

Some Canadian poker players from Ontario got together recently to hold a charity tournament to benefit one of their fellow players' wives who is fighting an illness. It's great to see poker players getting together for a good cause.

Poker.com donated a $275 WSOP grand final tournament entry as the top prize in the tournament, as well as $50 to the cause for each new player that signed up with us.

I just wanted to wish Woodman's wife the best of luck with her recovery from everyone here at Poker.com. Congratulations are also in order for Poker.com member BigChrisEl who won the tournament and the chance to win a $12,500 WSOP package in our next WSOP grand final on March 12.

If anyone else is planning a tournament for a good cause, let us know and we will help as much as possible. We can easily set up private online tournaments at Poker.com for this type of event.
