Joe Bartholdi is the WPT Champion!

Joe Bartholdi, a young Las vegas poker pro has captured the title at the World Poker Tour Championship and was rewarded with a first place prize of $3,760,165.When heads up play began, Joe Bartholdi held almost a three to one chip lead on $25 online qualifier, David Matthew.
Matthew fought his way back to actually take over the chip lead for a few hands, but Bartholdi came back to capture the title with a pair of 5s when Matthew was unable to hit his flush draw. David Matthew earned $1,903,950 for his second place finish.
Joe will return to the Bellagio on Tuesday to compete in the WPT Battle of Champions, against the winners of all other WPT events from this season.
