History of the League

A Merry band of Forum users were bored one day, and wondered what mischief they could get up to. Two in particular, bright sparks Evil666 & Cazwil, had an idea to set up teams of players and pit them against each other.

This was set up quite sneakily without telling Poker.com, and the battles commenced over an entire weekend. Unfortunately, it was a roaring success and everyone took it upon themselves to set up threads for their own teams and jamming the forum with team play issues.

Alas, the naughty little secret was out!

Demands were made by Paul the tournament director, as to who had done this devious deed - this is were I (Cazwil) went into hiding for a couple of days, in the hope that he would never find out. But find out he did. A special thanks to everyone who posted my name.

So, the game was up, I had to hold my hands up and confess, of course I dragged Evil666 along with me.

However, there was no need to worry at all, Paul actually liked the idea and gave us our very own sub forum, just for League Issues and, this is the best part, a cash prize for the winning team after a season. Plus the facility to host our very own tables at special prices and comp points... Absolutely fantastic.

We're now going from strength to strength and we are building up a good gaming format, that includes Texas Holdem No Limit, the dreaded Omaha sit'n'goes, and after this season (S3), we are introducing a special MTT, that combines Individual play with Team play.

We also have a bonus Cash Game for the winning side, with great 'bragging rights ' attached.
At the end of a season the winning team pits their poker skills against the Poker.com Staff.

We're still in our infancy, but we welcome everyone.
There are minor requirements but they are easily met, and if anyone has any worries there is always friendly support from the League and its Members.
