The Sunday Tournament Wrap
The eigth lucky member of the Poker.com WSOP team has been decided after a well deserved win in Sunday's WSOP Grand Final.
Cashflow5, of Colorado, will be flying to Las Veags later this year to take his seat in the world's largest poker tourament and chancing his hand at a likely record poker tournament prize pool.
This once in a lifetime chance is thanks to one of our $5 WSOP Qualifier Sit'n'Go tournies.
I guess that's one of the things I love about poker so much. Anyone can become an instant celebrity, not not to mention a millionaire overnight, and it doesn't have to mean years of gruelling physical training. I mean what other game can just about any average Joe, college student, a mother of 5 or even a chiropractor get the opportunity to take on the world's best while on a global stage?
There isn't any...
But an unknown Aussie like Joe Hachem can go on to become the WSOP Champion! And to me that's something pretty unique and special to poker.
So a great big congratulations goes to Cashflow5 from the whole team at Poker.com and we wish you all the best in Vegas.
Here are some highlights from yesterday's Grand Final:
- With only three player's remaining out of an original field of 80 the game was still within anyone's reach.
- The first of the final three to be eliminated was, TotheRiver, who lost nearly all his ship stack to Zman523's pocket kings.
- Unfortuntaley for TotheRiver, who was forced all-in by the blinds the very next hand, he was up against Zman523 and KK again.
- With only 2 players remaining and a $12,500 package riding on possibly every hand, each player was a little hestitant to commit too many chips early on.
- But this couldn't last forever and so finally the deciding hand was played. Cashflow5 posted the small blind of $1500.00 and Zman523 posted the big blind of $3000.00
