The Weekly $20,000 Freeroll

Just another Sunday and yet another Poker.com player has won themselves a handy addition to their bankroll after holding on to claim first place and $4,000.

Congratulations to StarConch, who fought back from a 3:1 chip deficit and claimed the win along with the prized $20K accolade for their player box. I honestly think sometimes the players are more interested in winning the accolade rather than the cash... I agree the trophy looks good, but give me $4k any day...

Final Table Action:
With only 7 of the original 867 players remaining, the $20k was still within anyone's reach, but this couldn't last for very long with the BB creeping to $16K.

The first hand to result in casualties played out like this:

Bullitpete - KK Vs Greenstn- A10 Vs Monkeylove05 - A7

The Flop: 2 9 7 Turn: A River: K

I could almost hear Bullitpete's heart stop when the turn hit, but thanks to the river giving him a set of Kings, he was now in second place.

With his new found chip stack Bullitpete didn't wait long, because with the very next hand was all-in again, this time against Mokeylove05.

Bullitpete - QJs Vs Mokeylove05 - A5os

The Flop: Qh 10h 10d Turn: 8d River: 4d

With the quick departure of 3 players, all at the hands of Bullitpete, the paced started to slow down and very few hands made it past the flop... That was until, Yappa27 called Bullitpete's all-in pre-flop, the result:

Bullitpete - 33 Vs Yappa27 - 55

The Flop: Q 6 8 The Turn: 4 and The River: 3

Again the river card was a blessing to Bullitpete, and with only 3 player remaining his chip lead of 3:1 was looking unbeatable, especially after one of the remaining three was knocked out by StarConch.

The Final 2 Players and Chip Count:
Bullitpete - 605K StarConch: 265K

This was really interesting to watch when the final table became Heads Up... I guess I wasn't the only one who thought this as over 100 members were watching the action.

The Final Hand:
Bullitpete - J5 Vs StarConch - JJ

Flop: 2 3 5 Turn: J River: 5

Both players landed the full house, but this time the river didn't save Bullitpete from StarConch's pocket JJ's

What I learnt about final tables today:
1. Pocket J's can win
2. How to lose from a 3:1 chip lead
3. And how to slap Bullitpete down in a tourney, thanks StarConch..

The $10,000 Guaranteed

Every week it makes me jealous that I cant enter this tournament... I mean think about the return on your $50 investment!

The prize pool is more than double what the buy-in generates and with only 94 entries it has to be the easiest way to win yourself a cool $3,000 in one sitting.

And just to top it off, you don't even have to buy-in for the full $50... Players can earn their entry by simply playing one of our daily $10K satellites.

The final hand in today's $10K was amazing...it went like this:

Raverke - Jd Vs Mal123 -

The Flop: 8d Qd As The Turn: 9d The River: 10d

With Raverke hitting a Queen High Straight Flush the nut hand was his, and with it first place.

Congratulations on a great win Raverke.

Showdown Poker Tour

Congratulations to 3 lucky players who managed to win their entry into the upcoming Showdown Final for a low $5. I wonder who is going to be winning that live poker tournament seat? It could still be you.

Charity Tournament

Gambitwd was this months winner and with the $75 from player donations and with Poker.com's matching this amount we have managed to raise $150.

I'd really love to see this tournament pulling some bigger numbers, for 2 reasons:
- so I can make a sizeable donation to the winner's choice of charity
- and to make Poker.com pay more...

Until next week good luck and I'll see you at the Final Table...
