I can hardly believe it…. The biggest poker tournament the world has ever seen is just around the corner.

In fact, there is just over 4 weeks until the Rio Casino takes poker’s center stage and play host to an estimated 8,000 entrants. Therefore, you still have plenty of time to plan that trip and see the Poker.com Team in action… Paul and I would love to meet you!

2006 will see Poker.com send our largest live tournament team ever to compete in an array of different events, such as the:
• NL Texas Hold’em World Championship Event - $10,000 Buy-in
• NL Hold’em 3-day Event - $5,000 Buy-in
• NL Hold’em 3-day Event - $1,000 Buy-in
• Ladies Event NL Hold’em 2-day Event - $1,000 Buy-in

Here is how the Team is shaping up for the WSOP:
• Poker.com Main Event Seat Winners: 11 + 3 still to be won
• Blogger Poker Tour Seat Winner: 1 seat to be won 1st July
• Bluff Poker Seat Winner: 1
• Poker.com Ladies Event Seat Winners: 4
• ChecknRaise Seat Winners: 9 (Poker.com are paying the WSOP entry for 9 players after ChecknRaise were unable to honour seat legitimately won on the site)

Unfortunately, Paul and I will miss the start of the Ladies Event (for some reason work wouldn’t let us out of the office for a whole month), but we will arrive in Las Vegas on Wednesday, 26 July and depart 11 August.

Here are some WSOP dates to keep in mind:
July 26 - Paul and Liam arrive in Vegas
July 27 - Poker.com Party - meet staff and fellow players (merchandise galore)
July 28 - WSOP Main Event Day 1
Aug 10 - WSOP Main Event Final Day
