The young and beautiful fall at Mandalay Bay
Vanessa Rouso, David Williams and Evelyn Ng all looked to make a move early and doubled up, both ladies were eliminated soon after with David Williams continuing his run later doubling up again before being eliminated when his pocket kings ran into a full house. The other big eliminations were an absolute who's who of poker. Paul Darden, David Sklansky, Kathy Liebert, Cyndy Violette, Dewey Tomko, Erick Lindgren, T.J. Cloutier, Josh Arieh, Mike Matusow, J.C. Tran, Joe Sebok, Amir Vahedi, Martin de Knijff, and Robert Mizrachi all fell during a big day of eliminations. The second day also saw the end of Day 1 dominator Gavin Smith. He moved all in on a flop of Q-9-4, holding two pair with his Q-9, he was called by Eric Buchman who held Q-J. The turn came T and the river K giving Buchman the king high straight.
Brad Booth leads the field into day three followed closely by Joe Tehan. Barry Greenstein's prodigy Tuan Lee had a great day and sits in the leading pack, a place he has occupied for most of day 2. Overnight leader Nenad Medic has fallen from his lofty perch but still has enough chips to make some moves.
The top 10 are:
Brad Booth $327,100
Joe Tehan $311,200
Tuan Le $287,500
