WSOP tournament directors estimated 1,400 starters for Day 3, meaning players would only have to outlast less than half the field to get to a paid position (at 873).
With only 1,159 in the Day 3 starting field, the remaining players may be hitting the cashier sooner rather than later.
The Poker.com team are all out, but we will continue coverage of other notable players over the final few days, until someone is crowned 2006 World Series of Poker Champion!

Keep an eye on Eric Buchman. He is sitting in 90th place after day 3.
He is a friend and a few of us that were in Vegas last week spent some time with him.
