Play Begins for Day 4

Play has commenced for Day 4 of the main event and we will see the blinds starting at level 16 (2,000 / 4,000) and an ante of 500. Its this killer ante that will be forcing the short stacks to play average starting hands and push all-in as the day progresses. But, with all players guaranteed at least $26,389 for 4 days work, it's not the end of the world if today is your last.

Day 4 Morning Highlights:

Reigning champion, Joe Hachem, has managed to double his stack early on in today's play and still keep his dream of back-to-back wins alive.

- Hachem in the SB
- After a moments hesitation he pushes all-in for 105,000
- Opponent thinks about Joe's play
- He makes the call pre-flop
- Showdown: Joe - As Qs Vs Opp - 5c 5d
Flop: Qh Qd 9s Turn: 2s River: 4s
Joe wins pot of 240,000 with Trip Q's or Nut Flush, take your pick!


Negreanu Is Back
- Negreanu raises to 10,000
- Player on the button makes the call
Flop: Qd Qc 9
- Negreanu checks
- Button bets 12,000
- Negreanu makes the call
Turn: 7
- Negreanu goes all-in for 23,000
- Button calls.
- River: rag
- Showdown: Negreanu - Qh 9h Vs Opp - 9s 9d
Both players flopped the boat, but Negreanu wins pot of 95,000 with the Queens.

Hoyt Departs WSOP
Hoyt Corkins has been eliminated from the maine event and will be taking away $34,636 in cash. Not bad, but its just a little shy the $12 million paycheck for first place.
