2 final tables in two days isn't enough for the Croc.
Despite making consecutive final tables Billy "the Croc" Argyros hasn't been able to take down a first place. It was an Omaha marathon in Event #3 the $1,050 Omaha Hi/Lo Championship, and while the Croc was chuffed with back to back final tables, it was Jethro Horowitz who had the days glory, taking home $33,600 for first place. To get there he had to overcome a four and a half hour heads-up battle with second place finisher Adam Geyer, the game running long into the wee hours of the morning.
With 96 total entrants and a price pool just under $100,000 it was a strong field to get through. Familiar names such as Harry Demetriou, Gary Benson, Tony G, Kenna James, Mark Vos, Sticky Mickey Guttman, Mick the Hoon, Mel Judah, Marsha Waggoner, Marek Kolk, Maurie Pears, Van Marcus, and defending Aussie Millions Main Event Champ Lee Nelson made it a great event, and its only day two of the championship.
