Full Tilt Poker players would were met with a surprising change on the weekend, as Full Tilt Poker has upgraded its software.
Aside from design changes to make the software easier to use and just plain nicer to look at, there have been major additions to in-game functionality. Now players seemingly caught in an impasse at the end of a game can forge deals via 3 different systems of splitting the tournament prize money.
The deal options are available in multi-table tournaments and some Sit ‘n’ Go tournaments. Independent Chip Modeling is the first of the tournament deal making options. This calculates the likelihood each player has of finishing in a particular prize position and awards money based on that likelihood. Many players will likely opt for this deal, as it appears to be the fairest way to divide prize money earlier than normal.
Another option for cutting a deal is chip ratio, paid out according to the stack size of the each remaining player. The prizes for each position may not fall outside the minimum and maximum ranges for prizes in the tournament, however, so the lower performing and top performing players receive no unfair disadvantage or advantage. Expect this to be proposed by chip leaders going into the final stages of tournaments.
The third option for a deal is the Custom Deal, where the player controlling the deal continually offers custom payout amounts until a final prize array is agreed upon. This seems like an option that players will think is a good idea until they learn that every other player will try to haggle for a better deal.
Aside from the deal making additions, Full Tilt Poker players are also able to customize their software experience much further than before by adding extra features to their personal Full Tilt lobby. Players are also able to choose between a basic and standard lobby, so those confused by the new system do not need to feel intimidated by the changes. The previous version of the software lobby is also being offered, but players should definitely try out the newer lobby and its features.
If you would like to check out the latest version of the Full Tilt Poker lobby, then download the software via our Full Tilt Poker review and open an account.
