Full Tilt Unveils Rush Poker

January 27, 2010

Full Tilt Poker has recently added a new type of game to its software called Rush poker to provide a faster experience.

Rush Poker

Rush poker seeks to avoid the long waits you must face after folding your hand by moving you to where the action is. It uses a pool of many players and you change tables all the time, either after you have finished your hand, or when you press the Quick Fold button. Quick Fold takes you to the next table immediately, but the other players will only become aware of your decision after the action has reached you, so they will gain no special advantage. In the meantime, you are already playing in another hand, whereas you’d be waiting for an entire hand to resolve in a normal game of poker.

When you join a game of Rush poker, you immediately post the Big Blind. After that, the Big Blind is determined by whoever hasn’t paid the Big Blind for the longest time. When two players tie for that position, the Big Blind is chosen randomly. All other positions, such as Small Blind, are randomly chosen, which adds another level of excitement to Rush poker.

Full Tilt Poker have clearly put a lot of thought into this new game type, as you can even multi-table Rush poker with the same pool of players. You simply play multiple entries in the same pool of players, and the software ensures you never play more than one position at the same table. Other players don’t suffer a disadvantage, and grinders can use this to play an incredible number of hands per hour.

If you want to try Rush Poker for yourself, you’ll have to sign up for an account with Full Tilt Poker. It’s easy to join, and new players can get $600 in bonuses on a first deposit.
