The World Series of Poker is going full steam ahead at the Rio in Las Vegas.
The latest feel good story is that Eric Brooks is donating his $415,856 in 7 card stud winnings to charity.
There has been so many bracelets given away this week at the WSOP that we have struggled to keep up with a news story for each.
Here are the most recent winners.
Event #14 winner, Eric Brooks, is apparently donating his seven-card stud winnings to the nonprofit Decision Education foundation. He is a longtime board member of the Stanford University-affiliated group. It focuses on teaching children how good choices are made.
In the Ladies event, Svetlana Gromenkova won from Anh Lee, who finished 2nd in this event for the 2nd time - what a heartbeaker! This event also featured a strong charitable contingent. The Queens of Heart, a collection of female poker players playing and celebrities, raised over $14,000 for the Nevada Cancer Institute through donations and a percentage of their winnings. Members of this year’s team - the largest ever - included Linda Johnson, Barbara Enright, Susie Isaacs, Cheryl Hines, Camryn Manheim and Mindy McCready.
Right now there are five events in progress. In the 2-7 NL Lowball event Mike Matusow is shaping as favorite, with a chip lead at the final table. Go Mouth!

Ed's Note: Is it just me, or does Jeffrey Pollack look like he is on some pretty heavy uppers in every photo he poses for? Look at the eyes on the commish! He sure gets excited about photos.
