The first four events of this year’s PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker are complete, each shattering expectations with regard to both turnout and prize money.
Event #4 - $215 2-7 Triple Draw - was decided on Saturday, with 'Donald' from Norway taking out the first prize of $32,450, drawing his way to a WCOOP bracelet.
With a username like 'Donald' he must have been playing online for some time. You just can't get that sort of username anymore, especially not on the world's biggest online poker site!
Like the Pot-Limit Omaha event that ended earlier in the morning, 2-7 Triple Draw is a new event in this year’s WCOOP schedule. So the first ever WCOOP bracelet for triple draw is certainly something to be cherished.
Donald began the final table 2nd in chips, behind 'Pstarfish' from the USA. They managed to eliminate the other 4 players and when heads up play between them began, Pstarfsh held a 3-1 chip lead over Donald.
The lead didn't last long however, with the Norwegian quickly turning the momentum in his favour.
