WSOP Final Table Set

July 16, 2007

There's 9 players remaing in the 2007 World Series of Poker main event - we have a final table!

After 16 hours of play on day 6, Denmark's Philip Hilm emerged as the chipleader with over $22 million to play with on the last day.

There's some extra cash up for grabs for some of the players that qualified online too...

Lee Watkinson, probably the most well known player at the final table, qualified for the Series at Full Tilt Poker.  Full Tilt will be paying out an extra $10 million if he goes on from his current 6th position to win the tournament.

Tuan Lam, Raymond Rahme and Hevad "RaiNKhaN" Khan all qualified at PokerStars. Stars offers an extra bonus just for making the final table, so these players have already banked an additional $100,000 each!

If they go on to 2nd or 3rd place, they will bank an extra $250,000. If they win the tournament an extra million dollars will be heading their way!

That's why we recommend players qualify for big tournaments at Full Tilt and PokerStars!

Here's the final table chip counts.

Seat 1: Jon Kalmar – 20,320,000
Seat 2: Lee Childs – 13,240,000
Seat 3: Philip Hilm – 22,070,000
Seat 4: Jerry Yang – 8,450,000
Seat 5: Raymond Rahme – 16,320,000

Seat 7: Alex Kravchenko – 6,570,000
Seat 8: Lee Watkinson – 9,925,000

And here is the prizemoney still on offer.

We were cheering for Scotty Nguyen, who at one stage surged to the chip lead before blowing it in quick time to bust out 11th.

Now we are rooting for Englishman John 'Skalie' Kalmer, who is staying at the house of one our best poker mates in Las Vegas.

Go John!

You could qualify to play in the first ever European World Series of Poker, by playing at Full Tilt Poker.
