PokerStars is offering a US player and a Canadian player the job of a lifetime: playing on behalf of PokerStars at live events for a year.
The players who are skilled enough to win the PokerStars Dream Job will benefit from a package worth $100,000. This includes a salary of $5,000 each month and $40,000 to be spent on live events. Potentially, this package is worth much more than $100,000 for a talented player, as the winnings of top live tournaments can reach millions of dollars.
US players can enter directly into the Dream Job $109 Final on 29 November, but it is even better value for skillful players to enter this event through one of the many satellite tournaments. There is a wide variety of satellite entry options, such as cash tourneys, FPP tourneys, and even freerolls. The freerolls will be held daily until 29 November at 20:00 ET and 23:00 ET, awarding seats to one of the three Dream Job Freerolls Finals that will each offer nine seats to the Dream Job $109 Final.
Players can avoid some of the crowds in the freerolls by entering into $11 daily satellites at 20:30 ET and 23:00 ET. Each of these will give away one seat to the Dream Job Final for every $109 in the prize pool. Two VIP $11 tourneys will also be held on 19 and 26 November at 21:30. Each of these VIP tournaments will award an additional 10 seats to the final, on top of the seats awarded for every $109 in the prize pool. FPP tournaments can also be played every day for positions in the Freerolls Finals, or on 11, 18 and 25 November for seats directly into the Dream Job $109 Final.
Canadian players have many of the same satellite options as the US players, but there will only be one VIP $11 satellite tourney for the Canada Dream Job $109 Final. This special tournament will be held on 26 November at 21:30 ET, with 10 seats to the Dream Job $109 Final added to the prize pool, again in addition to the seats awarded for every $109 in the prize pool. Aside from this one difference, Canadian players have the same kind of satellite offerings as the US players, and they play their own Dream Job $109 Final on 29 November at 19:00 ET.
The winners of the Dream Job promotion will be expected to play reasonably regularly at PokerStars, at a minimum of 4 hours per week in real money games. They will also need to wear PokerStars branded clothing at live tournaments and events, making themselves available for television opportunities and for duties on the PokerStars Blog. This job may be a great one, but it still has some responsibilities, as the Dream Job winners will be representing PokerStars.
If you would like to play for the PokerStars Dream Job, then you will first need a real money account. New players can take advantage of a 100% bonus worth up to $600 on the first few deposits made at PokerStars, and this is a great way to make playing in the Dream Job $109 Final even better value.
