As the world’s leading poker players head to Monte Carlo for the European Poker Tour Season Nine Grand Final Pokerstars has released the schedule for Season Ten of the popular tournament circuit.
There haven’t been many changes made to the schedule for Season Ten and the EPT will kick-off once again in Barcelona before heading to London, Prague, the Bahamas, Deauville, Berlin, Sanremo and Monaco.
European Poker Tour President Edgar Stuchly said the focus was on making the tour as stable as possible.
“Players at the EPT will see that we have made a deliberate decision to focus on stability,” Stuchly said.
“During a successful Season 9 where we decided to host fewer and bigger events incorporating the national tours, we listened to an enormous amount of player feedback who valued less time spent travelling, and more time spent playing.”
The European Poker Tour focused on turning each stop on the tour into a true Poker festival with buy-ins that suit players with bankrolls of all sizes.
High Roller events have become a major part of the professional poker circuit in recent years and this will continue in Season Ten of the EPT with more High Roller tournaments scheduled for every stop.
Leading Team Pokerstars pro Daniel Negreanu said he was delighted with the schedule and was excited to visit exotic locations around Europe.
“Really excited to see all of the top EPT spots back for Season 10 and think this is the best schedule yet with several big festivals planned, which is great for those making the trip overseas,” Negreanu said.
“It really gives players the bang for their buck with all of the side events available at each stop.”
Satellites for Season Ten of the European Poker Tour will begin at Pokerstars on Wednesday May 15th and give amateur poker players the opportunity to qualify for a major event for as little as $1.
