WPT Season XI Marathons Today and New Year’s!

by | Published: Wednesday, December 25th, 2013

Last Monday, the World Poker Tour announced plans to run two full days of WPT Season XI programming both today (Christmas Day) and next week on New Year’s Day.

Taking place on FSN, the two marathons will kick off with Season XI’s first televised event, the WPT Parx Poker Open.

WPT President Adam Pliska outlined the success of last year’s similar events as the major reason for the decision.

“Last year’s holiday marathons were a great success for both us and FSN, and we’re pleased to again offer viewers the chance to catch up on moments they may have missed of re-live their favorite hands from the past year on tour” Pliska said.

The WPT Christmas event is set to kick off today at 12p.m. local times and will include around 18 hours of programming, ending with the WPT LA Poker Classic.

The New Year’s event will also begin at 12p.m. local time, January 1st 2014 with a further 15 hours of scheduled poker programming, covering events from the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star through to the season-completing WPT World Championship.

From all the team here at Poker.com, we hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy holiday period!
