PokerStars Celebrates 100th EPT with 43-Event Poker Festival in Barcelona

by | Published: Wednesday, May 28th, 2014

The poker festival organized last year to celebrate the beginning of the 10th season of the European Poker Tour was such a success, PokerStars is bringing it back. This time it will be to celebrate a huge milestone, the 100th EPT in Barcelona, Spain, which is taking place at the very start of Season 11.

PokerStars announced the impressive 43-event heavy schedule in a press release sent to the media on Wednesday. The poker festival will run from August 16 to 27, 2014, in the Casino Barcelona.

“Season 10 was such a huge success that we are very excited about the 100th EPT in Barcelona,” said EPT president Edgar Stuchly. “It’s going to be a historic event and we are looking forward to welcoming thousands of players to Casino Barcelona to take part.”

The 2014 EPT Barcelona will again join forces with the national Estrellas Poker Tour, offering a big variety of events with a wide range of buy-ins, after the success of last year’s edition, which drew over 9,000 participants.

The schedule for the EPT Barcelona is below, but among the most interesting events are the Estrellas €1,100 Main Event, EPT €5,300 Main Event, and €1K Seniors Event (for players aged 50+). The thrilling €48,500+€1,500 Super High Roller tournament will certainly attract some of poker’s greatest players from all over the world.
