Schwartz has just come back from an extended break from poker and said he well into the tournament feeling mentally and physically fresh.
“After all the years of travelling, wear and tear, just mentally it’s a bit stressful and takes a toll on you so I just wanted to take a break and take some time off,” he said.
“I was really fresh. I’ve been playing a little bit back home in Miami and I’ve just been travelling and enjoying my time with my lovely girlfriend.”
Schwartz wore a hat representing the One Drop charity throughout the tournament and admitted he already has his eye on the next Big One For One Drop tournament.
“I recently became involved with the charity, in support of Guy Laliberté, and I also played the $1 million buy-in Big One For One Drop event,” Schwartz said.
“I was a little disappointed in my performance there so I decided that I was going to wear this hat until One Drop next year.”
