ESPN is set to host a special WSOP Rematch series that will see famous Main Event winners and runners up face off again.

Join Full Tilt Poker Full Tilt Poker now to try for your own chance at a heads up WSOP Main Event match thanks to the satellite tournaments now running. While the Main Event usually costs $10,000 to enter, Full Tilt Poker is set to award hundreds of seats entries as well as accommodation costs. Best of all, you can even win your entry for free when you play for a WSOP seat at Full Tilt Poker!

There will be three rematches in total, with the participants for the first two already decided and the last to be decided by a poll on Facebook.

To start the WSOP Rematches off, there will be a 2 out of 3 game match to repeat the end of the 2003 WSOP Main Event between Chris Moneymaker and Sammy Farha. The first game will see them play with the same chip stacks they had going into heads up play. The second game will reverse the stacks to explore how things might have gone if the chip advantage were different. If neither player has won both games, there will be a third game with equal chip stacks to see which player can dominate from an even start.

In the second match, we will get to see Johnny Chan and Phil Hellmuth face off once more in a repeat of the end of the 1989 WSOP Main Event. This will be a one match deal from even starting stacks, and it will be very interesting to see how they have adapted to deal with one another in the more than 20 years since their first legendary meeting.

The third match will be decided by a vote on Facebook, with four choices that include:

  • 1988 WSOP Johnny Chan v Erik Seidel
  • 2004 WSOP Greg Raymer v David Williams
  • 2006 WSOP Jamie Gold v Paul Wasicka
  • 2010 WSOP Jonathon Duhamel v John Racener

This final match will have equal starting stacks. If the top voted match up cannot occur, then the next most popular choice will be played.

The game will be played at the Amazon Room in the Rio and filmed by ESPN on 2 June. Voting on the third match will begin on 2 May, and the games will be broadcast in a two-hour special on ESPN on 26 July.
