Scott Seiver has outlasted a star studded field to claim victory in the 2013 Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure Super High Roller Event.
The popular professional poker player from the United States was delighted with the victory as well as the payday of $2,003,480.
“It’s just so fantastic to get to win a tournament like this,” Seiver said.
“You are sitting around with all the best players in the entire world and you somehow end up on top and get to share the moment with all of your friends.
“It’s everything that I would ever want.”
Seiver has become a regular in Super High Roller tournaments at all major events and was quick to state how much he enjoys playing the events.
“I really love playing Super High Rollers because everybody that plays them knows each other and are friendly and friends,” Seiver said.
“There is just such a great table dynamic at all times that it is genuinely the most fun I get to have playing poker.”
Seiver wasn’t sure what he had planned to celebrate just the second seven figure score of his tournament poker career but confessed that he wasn’t looking forward to playing the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure Main Event, which begins tomorrow.
“I have no idea what I am going to do tonight,” Seiver said.
“I’m telling myself that I’m too tired to do anything right now but I’m sure that isn’t true.
“I guess I have to play tomorrow in the Main.
“I really don’t want too though.”
The twenty-seven year-old burst onto the professional poker scene in 2008 when he won his first World Series of Poker Bracelet in the $5,000 No Limit Hold’em event.
Every year since Seiver has won a major tournament claiming victory in the 2009 Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic; the 2010 Los Angeles Poker Classic High Roller Event and the 2011 World Poker Tour $ 25,000 No Limit Hold’em WPT Championship.
The 2013 Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure continues today with the opening day of the Main Event.
