Approaching quickly, in just over a month on November 8, the Caribbean Poker Tour will launch with seven tournaments on the breath-taking island of Punta Canta.
The major draw-card of the maiden event will be the $1,500 no-limit hold’em William Hill Poker Open, expected to entice a playing party of more than 200.
Later in the month, the tour will wind its way to the equally stunning neighboring island of St. Maarten for a dozen more events, peaking with an official World Poker Tour main event at Casino Royale, situated in Maho Bay.
The St. Maarten event will also play host to the first high roller tournament of the tour, in the form of the $7,000 buy-in, seven handed Lucky Number 7 High roller to be hosted by German Poker Professional Tobias Reinkemeier.
This past Monday, a new app for both iPhone and Android devices was launched by the Caribbean Poker Tour to be used as an avenue to offer fans the opportunity to win satellite tickets. Essentially, players can qualify by downloading the app, opening it and selecting ‘Start Quiz’. When submitting the completed quiz, players must click the ‘Show Reward’ button and enter their name and email address, which will then go into the draw for one of three places in the €200 satellite contest, to be drawn next Monday, September 30.
Players can qualify for Caribbean Poker Tour events online through a number of online poker providers, listed on their website.
Three holiday packages to the Caribbean Poker Tour are up for grabs, including the Ultimate Caribbean Package (17 days worth €7,500), the St. Maarten Experience (10 days worth €5,000) and the Punta Cana Experience (7 days worth €4,000).
